Fuck man….
Things have been fun. By fun I mean, crazy. With that being said I hope you all are doing awesome, and that you’re ready for ANOTHER currently listening! It’s been a while since the last one and I think it’s time to get started again.
I was looking over the last few of these posts, and I wanted to shake things up. I’ve been listening to some different stuff and I hope this one blends together. But if not, open your mind and vibe out. Variety is the spice of life, so live it.
“You Right” – Doja Cat Ft. The Weekend
So I’ve always been a fan of Doja. She has been consistent with her sound and her personality is really dope too. “You Right” features the Weekend, and as you know, I’ve been a huge fan of the weekend since he started to reference more 80’s pop in his music. Together, they make this song an excellent vibe to chill and smoke too.
BONUS: Trip out on the video. See if you can point out any subliminal messages LOL 🤣
“Power” – Laserpunk
Ugh…If you ever needed a song that would not only motivate you to work out in the gym, but also motivate you to take over the world, this is it. “Power” by Laserpunk is just that jam! Every time I listen to this song I immediately feel the power (see what I did there…) and want to hulk out.
I came across Laserpunk while exploring the roads of Night City and listening to the radio. They had some tracks featured on the soundtrack of Cyberpunk 2077, and I was hooked. If you have a chance take a listen to their Pandemic themed album “Covenant”.
“Go” – The Kid LAROI ft. Juice World
You have to thank (or blame) TikTok for this one. I had been hearing a specific single from the Kid LAROI, and after looking around his discography I found this one. “Go” features the late Juice world. Typically with all artists that have passed on, I ALWAYS end up liking their music. This single is no exception.
If you dig Juice World check out his track “Come and Go” ft. Marshmallow. Shit is a bop too!
“Last Call” – Tinashe
Welcome back to the queen! I’m so happy that Tinashe has released a new project. The “333” album is another one in a string of awesome albums that KEEP killing it. I have been so impressed by her consistency and innovation during the pandemic. She is truly an inspiration and keeps coming with amazing music.
I can’t wait for more from her!
*** There was a secret meaning to this song that I was never aware of. So from (2122) perspective…I understand. she wanted to say this to you..
So, there you have it! A few gems from my recent playlists and a small facet of my musical personality. I hope you enjoy the selections, and that you all are continuing to stay sane in this crazy world.
