When I first wrote this album I was still in a dark place and I wanted to reflect that with the lyrics. Now as I’m older, I listen back to the words I rhymed and they still resonate.
From the introduction that builds the landscape with clipped samples of news reports and demonic laughter, to the depressed feelings of isolation and self deletion. Each track still hits hard, each verse still spits truth.
Mechanically the album is compact and filled with sound variations that build both atmosphere and reinforce the theme of the album. Being self produced, this album holds a special place in my heart because when I produced the beats I wasn’t influenced by any modern producer, I was still me.
Over the years this work has came in many forms and now it lands here, back home and I share it will you all. Experience the black blood here or take it home and listen for yourself.
